The Blue Fathoms is the finest scuba diving available in New Jersey. We specialize in comfort and safety, and cater to divers of all levels and abilties. The Blue Fathoms is a 35ft Henriques, custom fitted for the New Jersey Wreck Diver. It features a heated/air-conditioned cabin, hot-shower, galley, state of the art electronics, and an experinced crew eager to lend personalized assistance and help you enjoy your diving experience.

Scuba Diving

The Blue Fathoms runs scuba diving trips on a daily basis, evening basis, and on the weekends. Dive destintations are based on customer requests. We serve the New Jersey area, and can bring you to any of literally thousands of wrecks, and rock piles off of the coast of New Jersey. All these wrecks have a rich and interesting history. We bring you to our favorite secret wrecks and share our knowlege for the best places to find lobsters and fish, including the Texas Tower.

 

Fishing

On our fishing tours, we take you inshore or offshore. We take you to the best places to find shark, tuna and blues. Come with us to the Hudson Canyon. We provide all the bait and tackle.

 

Private Parties

For a generally relaxing time, we take small groups or meetings on local scenic tours. The New York Skyline is a beautiful sight from the ocean, as are the weekly fireworks off Point Pleasant. Enjoy the comforts of our furnished cabin and galley, and get away for a few hours of relaxation on the water.

From The Garden State Parkway:

  • Exit 98 Onto Route 34 South
  • Route 34 will turn into Route 35. Continue on 35 South to Point Pleasant
  • Bear Right after crossing the Manasquan River Bridge onto River Avenue
  • At the end of River Ave, turn right onto Arnold Avenue
  • Clarks Landing Marina is 1/4 mile on the right–the entrance is on the corner as Arnold Avenue bears sharp left
 
General Information
  1. Please arrive at The Blue Fathoms 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure
  2. All destinations are dependent on:
    • Weather
    • Sea Conditions
    • Skill Level of the Divers
    • The Captains Word, which is Final
  3. A deposit is required to reserve The Blue Fathoms
  4. A Certification Card and Log Book are required of all scuba divers
  5. It is highly recommended that scuba divers maintain adequate medical insurance coverage specific to scuba diving related injuries

Departure Times

All times are approximate and may vary according to individual needs

Morning Two Tank Dives Leave 7:00am, Return approximately 1:30pm
Afternoon Two Tank Dives Leave 2:30pm, Return 8:00pm
Weekday Night Dives Leave 6:00pm or 6:30 pm
Weekend Night Dives Leave 8:30pm
 
Captain Tony Donetz

Tony Donetz has been a US Coast Guard licensed Captain for twelve years. He has been diving for over 25 years. He is a YMCA Divemaster. His love for scuba diving and the ocean is contagious, and he enjoys bringing divers to any of the thousands of shipwrecks that have fascinated him for so long. He loves directing divers to the best places to find local game. Tony has a wealth of information regarding the New Jersey waters, wrecks and local diving techniques, which he is eager to share with his passengers.

Captain Tony's crew are all experienced divers and enjoy making your scuba diving experiences truly fun, safe and adventurous.
