Annual Blue Fathoms PArty a Success!

posted Sep 5, 2011 6:54 PM by Tony Donetz

The day started a bit questionable with the prospect for rain and thunderstorms.  It ended on a perfect note.

It was great to see the crew, divers and friends all gathered sharing stories, experiences and great food. (if I must say so myself).

The fare included salsa, fruit platters chips, dips, veggie platters, nacho platters, among other delectable breads and snacks.

The main course included Hot Dogs, Burgers, beef and chicken kabobs, and Black Angus porterhouse steaks.  Did I mention plenty of drinks to keep all well hydrated?  Deserts were too numerous to count.

Thanks to all who came by for the day - Its always a pleasure.  Check out some of the pics from the day 2011 Annual Party Pictures.  Comment if you would like!

July 31 Update:

An excellent season so far!  WOW - great dives, good vis and lots of seafood for the taking.

This past weekend, Captain Gary took the Ocean Wreck Divers to the Maurice Tracy.  Gary tells me it was a slaughter house ( for lack of a better description).  Fluke ( all keepers,)  taug and Lobster were on the menu and in the catch bags!.  Pictures to follow.

On July 31, I took some new divers from LANGS SKI AND SCUBA to the Sea Girt Reef.  The comments ranged from Great to WOW!.  The new divers cold not believe the numbers and kinds of fish inhabiting the wreck.  We moved to another site for the second dive and Bob Lang came up all smiles.  Two lobster to 5 lbs and a bag full of mussels.

We will be diving this coming Tuesday, Wednesday an Thursday evenings.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon.,
